Hello hello hello!

Sitting down to write this I find that I am stunned to realize that we are done with Monday Night LIVE! @ Cafe Gratitude for 2009!
What a year! And it just FLEW BY!
Do you realize we managed to organize and pull off 47 (!!) events this year?

Our final event was a little bit different, and a blast -
not only because of an incredible musical guest,
but also because we gave away a TON of prizes!
(In fact, we edited the video a bit,
because we figured that an hour of raffle numbers and gifts,
while fun in person would be a real yawner on video.)

Here is a 10 minute clip of the event:

Musical Guest – Jah Levi
Please check out the video for a beautiful musical performance from Jah Levi,
who so generously took time away from a recording session to come up to Healdsburg and perform as part of my gift to the Monday Night LIVE! audience. :)
He played a 45 minute set for us, accompanied on vocals by Zahara,
and they both just completely blew my heart wide open.
We were blessed to have Jah Levi agree to come play for us!
(You’ll have to sit through some Town Hall Meeting and some Raffle to get to it.)

To gain access to the audience appreciation, town hall meeting & Jah Levi’s performance,
as well as the entire Past Speaker Archive, sign up for my newsletter here:
www.shealynnbaird.com/monday.
If you are already signed up, follow the link provided on the newsletter.

Raffle Prizes:
I had so many prizes donated for the event by past speakers,
regular audience members, and people who just felt inspired to support the event, that nearly everyone who showed up won something!
There were some really amazing gifts…
(I was sorely tempted to hoard some of them for myself!)
Some of the gifts were held aside and I did a random drawing of names
from those of you who emailed me suggestions for Monday Night LIVE! 2010.
Here is the list of winning names:

Long distance winners are:
Elena Hvizd – Shutesbury, MA
Diane Zemp – Dandridge, TN
Annika Knepper – Redmond, WA
Susan Almaliki – Dearborn Heights, MI
Carol Martin – Yreka, CA
Nancy Reed – Allentown, NJ
Eileen Reza – Evanston, IL
Denise Hunter – Harlingen, TX

Congratulations to everyone who won something!
(I will be mailing out prizes after Stephen and I return from Florida on the 10th of December)

One Final Gift:
Chef Dina Knight, who was a presenter early on in the 2009 season,
gave me access to one of her ebooks as an Audience Appreciation Gift.
Dina’s ebook, “Chef Dina’s Green Diet Recipe Guide & Tips for Releasing Weight” will be available for you to download FOR FREE on my website if you are signed up for my newsletter.
( BUT ONLY FOR 48 HOURS after I send this newsletter. )

Monday Night LIVE! 2010 – Kicks off Monday February 15th!!
Thank you to everyone who contributed suggestions for how to make 2010 even better.
We’ve already got a few amazing speakers lined up for the coming year,
like Daniel Vitalis, Frank Giglio & The Sproutman Steve Meyerowitz!
We’ve also got some great ideas, and we’ll be working on bringing it all together during the next couple of months.

Understandably, Stephen and I are going to be taking a little break from all of this…
As soon as the 2010 schedule starts to shape up I will start sending out information on the new season.
I’m pretty sure the kick off date will be Monday February 15th with Elixer Craft’s own Daniel Vitalis!

Thank you all for being a part of this year of amazing events,

and watch for further announcements when we get closer to next year’s kick off!

Be Well!

Well our final actual speaking event of 2009 was amazing!

Matthew & Terces Engelhart were out first Monday Night LIVE! @ Cafe Gratitude presenters, and the graciously agreed to come be our final speakers for this year. In this interview they really showed how they’re bringing a new way of thinking not only to business, but to so many other areas of life as well. They are DEFINITELY worth listening too, and have inspired Stephen and I to do their Abounding River Personal Workbook! Before the interview Matthew & Terces said that “no question is off the table,” And their responses to even some fairly pointed questions just served to show that they really are coming at life from a place of love & gratitude!

Here is a 10 minute clip of the night’s presentation:

This week at Monday Night LIVE! @ Cafe Gratitude we did something completely different! (If you were there – OMG! How GREAT was that? If you weren’t there, I’m SO SORRY!) We had a movie night where we were treated to a screening of the documentary, “May I Be Frank“.
The movie alone was incredible and is a MUST see!
But to top it off, after the film, a completely transformed Frank himself walked into thunderous, tearful, standing ovation!
We were also able to meet and ask questions of the cast and crew, including Frank Ferrante, who’s life was transformed over the course of this truly remarkable film.

As you no doubt know by now, my husband Stephen and I own
Every Body Cleansing Studio in Santa Rosa California,
where we offer (among other things…) Colon Hydrotherapy.
Colon Hydrotherapy was one of the tools used to transform Frank’s life,
along with raw foods and daily affirmations. If Frank can do it, you can do it!
And to make that a little easier for you, we’re offering a “May I Be Frank” colonic special!
Call us to schedule a colon hydrotherapy session by Friday November 20th & receive $10 off!
Just mention this special newsletter offer when you call!

Here is a 10 minute clip of the night’s presentation:

NEXT WEEK AT MONDAY NIGHT LIVE! @ CAFE GRATITUDE:

Monday November 16th, 2009 : 7:00pm-8:00pm
Topic: “Loving Yourself Wherever You Are In Your Journey -
Live Interview! Q & A w/ Bunny Berry!
5 Minute Interview with Bunny Berry.

In Bunny’s Words:

On April 14th, 2008, I embarked on a journey to change my life. At the time, I was very sick. I had a hard time making it through the day without spending most of my time in bed. Every joint in my body ached. My herniated disc was killing me. I was fat, fatigued, and FED UP! I had been to the doctor, and after running tests for Lupus, MS, Rheumatoid Arthritis, etc, etc, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and given a 90 count bottle of Vicodin to fill.

I got mad. I was pissed, and kept saying, “That’s it? Just take narcotics for the rest of my life? I’m only 38 years old! I shouldn’t feel this bad.” I came home, and immediately started researching natural treatment for Fibromyalgia. Some of the symptoms sounded like me, but I didn’t have the muscle pain. I wasn’t sure about the diagnosis. I didn’t fill the prescription.

As I kept reading and researching, I read a lot about diet, and how it can be a really important part of the treatment of autoimmune disorders. I read about people having success with a Raw and Living Foods diet. I was intrigued, and started watching YouTube videos about raw food. I saw a video with Matt Monarch from http://www.rawspirit.org, and decided to give the diet a try. That’s when the real journey began.

I challenged myself to eat Raw and Living Foods for 100 Days. And each day, I would post a video on YouTube, tracking my journey. Within 3 days of being on raw food, almost all of my symptoms had gone away. No more chronic heartburn. No more joint pain. No more back pain. I felt like a miracle had happened. I started telling everybody I knew about my miracle. And I invited anyone who wanted to join me on the first official RawFu 100 Day Challenge.

The Challenge Started on August 15, 2008, and over 1000 people had joined by opening day. It was so exciting! I wanted to build a community that wasn’t exclusive, so everyone was welcome. Whether you were committing to adding a Salad-A-Day like my friend, Ryan Ozawa, or were going for a full 100% raw commitment like the lovely Rebecca Jordan, all levels of raw food enthusiast were welcome!

Since August 15, 2008 our community has thrived. Hundreds of pounds have been lost. Lifelong friendships have been forged. We’ve had meetups, holiday parties, and focus on love and support towards all members. This community has been the real miracle in my life. I feel honored to be able to lead such a wonderful group of people. I love you, RawFu!

Now we are embarking on a new journey. Along with the online community of now almost 2000 members, you’ll be able to shop for RawFu Approved raw supplies, and also subscribe to RawFu Magazine, a monthly magazine that will supplement the online forums. It’s such an exciting time. I hope you’ll come along for the ride!

For almost a year now we’ve all been enjoying the incredible desserts
while listening to the speakers at Monday Night LIVE! @ Cafe Gratitude.

Tying in her work as a Somatic Experiencing Practioner,
Tiziana Tambora spoke on the topic of “Raw Desserts: Emotions & the Body Connection.”

5 Minute Interview with Ryland Engelhart.

May I Be Frank – the Movie

All Frank Ferrante wants is to fall in love one last time before he dies.

In the beginning Frank is a 290-pound, 54 year old Sicilian from Brooklyn, NY. who has an unquenchable thirst for women, a tendancy to create awkward moments, and a knack for failure. He’s got Hepatitis C and is on numerous medications including Interferon and anti-depressants. He drinks 10 espressos a day just to keep himself awake. He is an ex-addict, accused of being a terrible father, a nasty ex-husband, a lousy brother and a lost soul. Frank is never satisfied; he’s always hungry for the next quick fix. At least, that WAS Frank…

Until the day he stumbled into his long-awaited awakening, disguised as Cafe Gratitude, a raw organic and vegan food restaurant in the sunset district of San Francisco. Here, Frank is offered something remarkable: another chance at his life. A conversation between Frank and a cafe waiter named Ryland results in the creation pf an experiment: to help Frank fall in love. The proposal: Frank will rediscover and recreate himself in just 42 days simply though what he eats and thinks.

5 Minute Interview with Tiziana Tambora.

As the co-author of Cafe Gratitude’s best selling dessert recipe book, “Sweet Gratitude“, Tiziana brings a wide range of skills and experience to her current practice as a dessert chef. Her passion for desserts is a lifelong journey she started in Italy inspired by her mother and grandmother. In the early nineties she started to study macrobiotic philosophy and began to develop her own recipes for vegan, macrobiotic desserts.

She came to California in 1997 to continue her studies and has since been involved in health and nutrition, baked for several International Macrobiotic Conferences and Cruises, and managed two vegan bakeries. She has worked as a private chef, a pastry chef, taught hands-on dessert classes since 1998 in Italy, Canada, and the US. Her holistic approach to health includes acupressure training and somatic experiencing.

Tiziana’s presentation will be connected with her book, “Sweet Gratitude”, and how each chapter in the book has a connection with some emotional state of being; Trust, being Present, Guilt, Love, Oneness etc. From here she’ll be introducing how our emotional states have an effect on our physical body specifically in regards to her other passion, Somatic Experiencing practice.

Have an amazing week,

and I hope to see you Monday night for the second Tiziana!

HOT DIGGITY BLOG DIGGITY! OR – WHY I’M DOING THIS:

Originally this blog was started to serve two purposes: as a daily journal to both my (and my Partner, Stephen’s) Global Juice Feasting* experience, and for our experiment with a "Living Spiritual Mind Treatment."

The Global Juice Feast kicked off on March 1st, 2008, and it ended on June 5th, 2008. Yes - that makes it 92 days! Stephen and I ended our Juice Feast after 30 days, and I also seem to have let the "Living Spiritual Mind Treatment" experiment fade away as well. Now, I'm just blogging to blog, for blogs-sake, and although I'm not very consistent with it, it's nice to know I can when I want to. (And it beats paying for therapy!)
